Not all is lost, however, because this happened conveniently close to my birthday. So I do now have a tripod that will hopefully last me a good part of my career.
I've also bought a fantastic macro lens second hand. Macro photography is something that I have wanted for SO LONG to get into, and it just so happened that I was able to get a like-new lens $200 cheaper.
I am still at school this year, albeit a different one, dedicated to photography. First semester is almost over. In honesty, if has felt a bit slow. But that is okay, because I understand that not everyone starts off with the same understanding and we all need to be on the same page for the next 9 months.
That is so short.
I may go back to NSCAD just for fun, once I graduate this coming October. I do have a soft spot for film, and would love to push that just for fun!
In the meantime, I have a self portrait assignment due for next week. Suuuper exciting... I cant wait for tomorrow morning to have some light. I live in a cave, if you care to know, which is awfully inconvenient as a photographer.
I may be getting a DA premium membership for Christmas. I haven't decided quite yet
